London’s GDST and Somerset’s SW Superchargers have emerged as finalists on the girls’ side of the 2025 APEX Festival draw, while Scarborough College and South Africa’s BEST Academy have topped the boys’ groups.
The tournament, taking place at Millfield School, Somerset, officially kicked off on Monday morning, with all four sides having battled their way to the final against in flawless campaigns respectively.
‘The leading U15s cricket festival for girls’ and boys’’ will conclude on Wednesday 2 July.
Tournament co-founder Ed Clews commented on the day’s action, saying: “It’s been incredible to see everyone travel from across the globe to compete at the APEX Festival.
“On the girls’ side, GDST and SW Superchargers have certainly impressed everyone throughout the tournament, and we’re all looking forward to seeing if they can replicate their performances in the final.
“Similarly, it’s been great to watch both Scarborough College and BEST Academy since Monday. Both have won all their group games like the girls, so it’ll be interesting to see whose streak finally ends on Wednesday.
“Here’s to a great final day!”
The APEX Cricket Festival has taken place this week from Monday 30 June to Wednesday 2 July – ambassadors Sir Andrew Strauss and Ebony Rainford-Brent MBE have been in live attendance, watching on as the players battle it out for the trophy.
