GDST announced as Apex International Cricket Festival 2025 participants 

The Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST) Select team has been the latest to join those competing at the inaugural Apex International Cricket Festival, which starts on Sunday 29th June 2025. 

Hosted at Millfield School in Somerset, the festival includes an Under 15s girls’ and boys’ tournament, skills sessions with elite coaches and inspirational speeches from experts in handling pressure. 

The GDST team is made up of girls from the Trust’s London-based schools, including Putney High, Sutton High, Blackheath High, Wimbledon High and South Hampstead High. 

They will face off against schools from around the United Kingdom including Scarborough College, Mayfield and Trinity Croydon. 

Additionally, the national teams of both Namibia and Guernsey will compete, along with Warwickshire Girls and the BEST Academy from Durban, South Africa. 

The four-day festival is hosted by English cricket legends Sir Andrew Strauss and Ebony Rainford-Brent and can be watched live on YouTube
